Island Pizza

Before the Fourneau was even a sketch on a napkin, we already were obsessed with trying to make bread and pizza in the great outdoors ... as serious camping enthusiasts, one of our favorite ways to enjoy nature is to cook outside. Some folks might be content to bring the hot dogs and peanut butter, but we like to push the envelope. Several years ago, we went to a beautiful remote island and decided to build a pizza oven. Out of rocks, gravel, and sand. It worked! Here are a few photos of that adventure.
